Microsoft Lounge Blackwelder V2

Forced Perspective LED Content Design

About

Microsoft decided to upgrade the LED wall system at their lounge called Blackwelder in Culver City, Los Angeles. Volvoxlabs is again serviced Microsoft to install the new LED wall to with higher density pixels in the main lounge area and also install the corner LED wall to greet the newcomer who just enter the front entrance display interactive motion design art pieces along with Cortana interactive lobby wall which allows visitors to communicates with Cortana upon arrival. Along with the new hardware system, we create yet another mind bending forced perspective content to surprise the newcomer aspecifically for the corner LED wall.

The Environments

The new set of content is also inspired by theme of nature. We aimed to trigger the sense of curiosity and exploration of viewer and encourage them to aware of the variation of surrounding nature across the city. We came up with three distinct subthemes under the main theme. I was taking care of the terrarium. The other two subthemes are wave and under water which were taken care by the rest of the content design team.
